glamour

Can you believe that its only 25 days more til christmas? Where did the time go? I swear the older I get the faster time moves.

Just recently I got a goggle about the new CI show and how Andrew Mccarthy was fired from CI about 4 1/2 years ago, because he didn't get along with vincent. He said "I was fired because I refused to allow a fellow actor to threaten me with physical violence, bully me and try to direct me,” and he was talking about Vincent. Does anyone know the story? I wondered what was Vincent's side to that? I can't imagine him being a bully and threatening physical violence to anyone, but I guess he does have an anger issue. I've heard other things that says he loses his temper. don't know if anything is true. You can't believe everything you read.

Oh well, Is everyone ready for xmas yet? I only have a few minor things to get...

At the time of the last presidential election, there were news stories that Vincent had gone over the top about his dislike of Bush and desire to see a democrat elected. They said even Kathryn had enough of him. That is patently untrue, so I can't help thinking the rest was just stirring up hatred from someone with an axe to grind. If this guy was the one with that axe, that would explain his attitude now. I can't imagine he'll be around long if he carries on slagging off VDO in public.

I got that google alert too and it really made me angry with Andrew McCarthy. Of course, you're right, we have no idea if it's true that Vincent threatened him with physical violence, but nothing I've read anywhere hints at VDO being difficult or violent. It seems the only time these ugly suggestions were made was after he collapsed in 2004.

What I don't understand is why Warren Leight would ask McCarthy to come back to LOCI, knowing about the confict between McCarthy and VDO a few years ago. I would think Leight would want to show a little solidarity with his star, particularly if what McCarthy said is not true. Even if it was true, why bring a guest on the show who has is known to be hostile to the person who has made your show a success?

Apparently Andrew was "throwing his weight around" as soon as he entered the door, way before he got to the studios where they film. I believe Vincent spoke to the man in his ( Vincent's )dressing room to ask if what the matter was, but he never threatened him, I think he likes to help actors on set a lot and some way take offence and some may want it it just depends on the individual, in this case he didn't want his help or any one elses and Dick ( Wolf ) fired him for his babyish behaviour, he is in a Noth episode so didn't have contact with V.

I can't help but think that if Vincent as Vincent (and I do wish some wouldn't confuse the 'real' man with the character of Bobby Goren)had been physically violent with a guest actor, it would have made ALL the papers. However, since he is not only a gentleman but a gentle man, I've never heard or seen anything anywhere of Vincent's side of this story, nor, to my knowledge has he EVER been quoted as saying a word against McCarthy. I guess the snivelling little wussy should just be grateful he got invited back at all - but I agree, why the hell ask him back in the first place?! Wonder if he sent someone on to the set first to check that big bad VDO wasn't around???!

I am so glad you all cleared that up for. I never believed that VDO was a mean guy, but I used to like andrew, but not any more. If he is going to bad mouth our man, then he lost a fan (not that i was really one in the first place)

Vincent and mean!?! No way! Studying him (for painting etc...) you just know VDO is a gentle man.
