Proven Innocent-chapter seven

chapter seven
Interrogation room
When Goren and Eames went to arrest Jake Talbort, they found out he had already skipped town. They sent out an APB immediately. Jake was picked up in upstate NY on a traffic violation and was sent back to NYC. He also had his girlfriend, Brandi with him. The two were placed in separate interrogation rooms.
First they questioned Brandi. She was sitting at the table and did not look up when Goren sat across from her. He looked at the girl before speaking, "Do you know who might have sent this to us?" He asked showing he the note. He already knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it from her.
She glanced at it briefly, and then nodded. "I did."
"How do you know that he is the killer?" Eames asked next.
"Because he palnned it and had me aprticipate." Brandi said barely able to talk.
Goren noticed she ahd a black eye and there were finger grips on her thraot. "Is that what you got for deceiving him?"
"Yes, my reward." She glanced downward, ashamed of her role in the plot. "I didn't want to do it, but you see what he can do. He's the type to make you or he can make you pay dearly." She whispered while pointing to her face.
"You have to tell us everything, or he is going to walk and we can't guaranteed your safety," explained Eames.
Brandi was tired of the abuse and although she feared the man greatly, her conscience was even greater. She nodded, before going on to tell them everything. It seemed Jake had it in for Officer Wittman ever since he had arrested Jake and sent him to riker's for two years for the rape/burglary. He never got over it. It just so happened that on that night, Ariana and her friend came to Jack's for a good time, the off-duty cop was there too. Jake saw him and coerces Brandi into slipping the date rape drug into Ariana's drink. Why, she wasn't sure. The officer thought Ariana was drunk, so he offered to take her home. But apparently it played into Jake's hand perfectly. Jake now had afall man, or woman in this case.
Goren wrote everything down as Brandi spoke. "Why did he kill Sylvia?"
"Because after everything was done, she had over heard us talking about Jake killing the cop. She had come back and was looking for her friend, but after she heard what she heard, she quickly tried to get away, but it was too late, Jake had seen her." Brandi gently rubbed her eye, but winced at the pain. "I guess he followed her to her apartment and killed her also."
After Brandi's confession, they gave her a paper to sign, before arresting her for her involvement.
Now it was time to talk with Jake, something Goren was looking forward to.....
To Be continued..................
That's what I have so far...Enjoy....

proven Innocent-chapter six

beard or not-he's still sexy!!!!
here is Chapter six:
Goren knocked on the door of 1261 Southern Garden Road. It was a small hme just on the outskirts of New York City. He knocked again.
"Wait a f***ing minute!" A gruff young man opened the door with a jerk. "What the hell do you want?" He asked still half asleep.
oren and Eames looked at each other before turning their attention back to the man. "I'm Detective Goren and this is Detective Eames."
The man glared at them, "Am I suppose to be impressed?"
"We're investigating a murder of a fellow policeman." explained Eames, hoping she could tone down the guy's attitude a little. She went on to explain who the officer was.
"Well, sugar-pie," he started. "I don't know what that has to do with me!" He took a drag from a cigarette that was dangling from his lips, before tossing it onto the ground.
"We got a message that says the killer is h ere." Goren remained calm. "Can I have your name, sir?"
The guy glared again at Goren, then took his hand and rubbed his chin before answering. "You're the detective! Why don't you do your detective work and figure it out?" The man was bout to go back into his house. "Now, unless you hve hard evidence against me, I suggest you get off of my porch!" He slammed the door, cursing and saying, "That f***ing *itch! Just wait until she gets home."
Goren and Eames stood there for a second just staring at each other. "If he doesn't act guilty, I don't know what is!" Eames said heading to the vehicle. Bobby ahd stopped to pick up the cigarette. "Can you believe that guy!?" She slammed the car door shut. She was so angry.
Bobby kept his mouth shut as Alex drove away. She mumbled all the way back to Major Case. Goren had never seen her so mad.
**********************************************************************************
Bobby took the cigarette to forensics before heading back to his desk. Eames was still fuming over that guy when he got there.
"I still can't get over that guy's attitude, Goren." She said as he sat down. She began typing on her laptop. "I'm checking to see if anything comes up for his address. What about that cigarette?"
"I took it to forensics and they are going to rush it for us, but unless he was a sexual predator, it's not going to give us much." answered Goren, anxious to what the internet had to say.
Suddenly Alex got something, "You are not going to believe this." She said sounding excited. "That address belongs to a Brandi Kolinksky and Jake Talbort. Sound familiar?" She looked at Goren.
"Brandi. Isn't that the waitress from jack's?" he asked.
"Yep. It sure seems to pulling itself together." She smiled, apparently hr anger had now subsided.
"Detectives! Office now!" demanded the captain as he walked past them.
They looked at each other before following their leader. Once inside the captain demanded to know why Ariana was released. Goren and Eames both explained what they ahd found out and also went on to tell him about the message and how the guy had acted.
"You can't arrest a guy because he acts suspicious." reminded the captain.
"well, I have a theor," replied goren.
Bobby was about tot ell the captain his thoughts when another officer came in with the results of the DNA fromt he cigarette. he looked over the report and then looked at Eames. "There was a match on t he DNA. It belongs to a Jake Talbort, no surprise there, but h ere's the ehadline. Jake was arrested by Officer Wittman for a burglary/rape that put hima way for 2 years. Coincidence, I think not."
"And he only got two years," scoffed Alex, "for rape."
The captain lsitened, then told them to pick him up. "I'm more than convinced now."
Both the partner's were more than happy to oblige.
It is almost finished. I sure hope you all liked it... Is any of it making sense? Sure hope so..

proven innocent-chapter 5

here is chapter five. I've decided to name it proven innocent. thanks val. I just started chapter seven, so it is almost finished. Hope you enjoy it.

Proven Innocent

by aprilspring

Chapter Five:

Sylvia pearson's Apartment

Queens

The partner's arrived at Sylvia's apartment. Alex always drives and today Bobby asked her why she won't let him drive.

"It's not I don't trust your driving, Bobby," she tried to expained, "But I feel more comfortable in front of the wheel."

"ah-huh," Goren half mumbled. "It's your way of controling the situation," he then smiled.

"You want to drive, Bobby?" Alex asked slightly perturbed.

"No, no! You won't be in control anymore, if you let me drive." Bobby loved teasing her and today was no different.

Eames rolled her eyes as she went to knock on the door. The door opened at her touch. She gave Goren a look as she reache for her gun. "This can't be good."

Goren did the same as they entered the apartment. The room was disarray and one could tell Sylvia did not live like this.

"Sylvia! NYPD!" Goren called out. No answer. Bobby stepped into the kitchen and found Ms. Pearson. A female body was on the floor lying in a puddle of blood. "I think I found her!"

Eames followed Goren's voice and soon saw what it was he saw. "I'd better call it in." She said shaking her head. "This isn't good for your little friend." Eames pulled out her phone and made her phone call.

*********************************************************************************

After the ME came and took the corpse back to the morgue, Bobby and alex stayed to help with forensics.

"We are going to need her TOD," Goren said to someone on his cell before hanging up.

Eames overheard him, "You are determined to find that girl innocent."

"Yes, and you know I don't go down easily without a fight." He said picking up Sylvia's day planner. Skimming through the pages, he found yesterday where Sylvia and Ariana had made plans to go to Jack's Party Grill. "Well, they had planned to go to Jack's like Ariana said."

"Maybe that's where they met Officer Wittman," Eames said looking over Goren's shoulder, which wasn't an easy feat, since he towered over her. "I think we should head on over there."

**********************************************************************************

Jack's Party Grill

The place was busy as Goren and Eames entered the establishment. There was dancing and a live band playing. Alex found the manager and he directed them to speak wth a waitress named Brandi. It just so happened she was working this earlier shift.

As she waited on tables, they questioned her. "Do you remember this girl?" asked Alex, showing her a picture of Ariana.

Brandi looke at the picture briefly before answering, "Yea, she was here." She cleared glasses from an abandon table, picking up her tip in the process. "She was with another gal."

Eames showed her a picture of Sylvia, "with this girl?"

Brandi nodded, "yep."

Bobby pulled a photo of the murder officer out of his notebook. "Can you remember if this guy was here?"

She took the photo, then handed it back. "Oh, sure, he was with those two girls. They seemed quite cozy, until the frist photo girl seemed to have too much to drink."

"Don't you put limits on people if they have too much?" asked Alex.

"Sure we do, but she only had one drink and she wasn't drunk when she came in." Brandi answered then a customer yelled for another round. "Hey look, if we're done here, I really need to get to my customers."

Alex nodded that they were done and Brandi headed to the customer with his drinks.

"Are you thinking what I am thinking?" asked Bobby.

"That she was drugged," answered Eames. Bobby nodded his head. "Let's find out. I know they did a drug test."

Back at major case, Eames and Goren went to the interrogation room to chat with Ariana, but as they were making their way there, Goren's cell rang. As he answered it, he motioned for Eames to go on ahead.

Sitting across from Ariana, Alex told her about her friend. Ariana took it hard. "Who would do soemthing like this?" She asked in between sobbing.

"Who would have it out for you?" Alex asked.

"I don't know!" She slammed the table because she was irritated that her memory was so bad. "Why can't I remember anything?"

"Maybe I can answer that," said Bobby as he walked through the door. "I just got off the phone with your doctor and he says your tox screen was positive for Rohypnol."

Eames raised an eye brow at the mention of the drug that was found in the young woman's sytem. "Well, that explains alot."

Ariana looked baffled, "What is Rhy-rhydol?"

Goren stifled a laugh at ariana's attempt to say the drug. "It's Rohypnol, and it's the date rape drug. That's why you can't remember much of waht happened."

"Does that prove I'm innocent?" she asked.

"Well, it certainly means you couldn't have done it." answered Eames, "What about Sylvia?" she asked Bobby.

"The ME says her TOD was early this morning and she was in our custody, so she's cleare of that too."

"What?" Ariana was shocked and a little angry that they would think she was capable of her best friend's murder. "You thought I did that too!"

"We had to cover all our tracks." Alex explained. "The waitress at Jack's remembers you and your friend."

"Of course she does, we were there!" Ariana's anger was replaced with sarcasm.

goren reached for Ariana's hand and he looked into her eyes, she thought she would melt. "We had to get enough evidence to prove you didn't do it." He tried to explain to her as he still held her hand.

"A-ah-ah-um," she tried to speak, but found no words would come out of her mouth.

"Are you okay?" he asked finally letting her hand go.

"Um-m, yes." she looked away as redness crept along her cheeks. she looked at her hands as she remembered his hands covering hers. "Wha-what happens now?" she finally asked afraid to look at him.

"We are goinf to take what evidence we have to the DA and then I'm sure you will be let go." Eames saw Ariana blush, but kept her secret safe, for the time being.

*********************************************************************************

Later that day, it was Alex's turn to tease Bobby. "I see you really have quite an effect on a certain young lady."

Bobby looked up from his notes. "What? Who?"

"Ariana. Don't act like you don't know what you're doing." she teased. "You had her blushing and stammering."

"Blushing?" Goren cocked his head to one side and looked at Eames. "she was blushin? Surely it wasn't because of me."

"Yea, right." Eames laughed at Goren's modesty. "I guess it was becasue of me." she laughed some more.

"Excuse me Dtective Eames and Goren." They were interrupted by a uniform officer. "someone left this message for you downstairs."

They looked at it, then looked back at the officer. "Who left it?" Goren asked.

"I don't know, sir."

Goren said thanks and then went back to the message.

'The girl is innocent-You can find the killer here-1261 Southern Garden Rd.'

Bobby turned th e note over, but it was blank. "We alredy know she's innocent."

"Let's go check it out." He reached for his notebook as she got her keys.

chapter four

again so sorry for the repeats. As soon as I find my disc of PSP, I will get it fix, so I can create again. Here's chapter four....

Chapter four

Interrogation Room

She sat there waiting for the partners to enter the rom. There were so many thoughts rushing through her head, but none were memories of the night before. With tears in her eyes, she tried so hard to remember and wondered if she ever would, unaware that through the mirror glass, she was being observed.

Bobby and Alex entered the room, where Ariana was being watched. The captain looked at them.

"So, does she remember anything about last night?" He questioned them.

"No," answered Eames. "Bobby seems to think she's innocent."

"Am I guessing that you do not share his opinion?"

She shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not sure any more, sir."

"Wll," he paused, "let's get to questioning her until she confesses or send her to Ryker's until youhave more than enough evidence against her." The captain left the room so the two could establish their next move.

"Sending her to Ryker is going to kill her," Bobby finally said, while waching Ariana.

"Bobby, you heard the captain."

"I know what I heard, but he's already signing her death certificate." Goren turned his head to look at Eames. "I know she looks guilty, but I just know she's innocent. I just need time to prove it."

"I don't know how much time they are going to give you." Eames answered. "We really are going to have our work cut out for us this time."

Goren nodded his agreement to what Alex had said. Picking up his notebook he headed to where Ariana was waiting.

As he walked into the room, she quickly pushed a tear away and Goren pretended he did not see as he sat acrss from her.

Folding his hands together, he said, "so can you remember anythig sice we last talked?"

Unable to hide the tears now, she shook her head.

"If you want me to help you, I really need something, anything." he tried to plead with her.

Lips trembling, she tried to speak, "all I can remember is I was having drinks with a friend."

"Friends? That's a start. A name would be even better." Bobby said pulling out his pen.

"Sylvia. Sylvia Pearson. We went to-to Jack's Party Gril in-in." Her mind went blank trying to remember where it was.

"Isn't that by the pier?" questioned Eames as she walked through the door.

Ariana nodded, "yes. I think so."

"You been?" Goren asked Alex smiling. He couldn't remember her having much of a social life.

"My sister ha her birthday party there last year," Eames pulled out a chair. "Is there anything else you can remember?" She asked bringing the conversation back to the suspect/victim.

Ariana shook her head.

"at least we got a name." Bobby said feeling a little more encouraged. He got up and looked at the girl sitting there, obviously scared half to death, but it was Alex who spoke first.

"Don't worry, you wll go back down to booking where you will sit in a holding cell until we can locate your friend and check Jack's." She also got up to leave.

An officer stood at the door to get Ariana and take her back to booking.

chapter five coming soon.....

I need a title for this story and I haven't come up with one yet. Any suggestions?

chapter three

So sorry about the repeat. Here is chapter three. I am not a fan of romance between Goren and Eames, so I don't think this one will be a romance story, not with them together anyway. I want Bobby for myself. haha... I'ven finished four chapters already and started the fifth one. So enjoy.....

Disclaimer: Again I do not own any of the characters from Law & Order: criminal intent. Only the ones I created for this story....
Chapter three:

Major Case
1 Police Plaza (I think that's the address)

After having to get back to work on his own, Goren walked to his desk and threw his leather book onto it. Eames only looked up from her laptop briefly before puttng her nose back into it.

After a bit of silence, she finally asked, "So do you think she did it?"

Bobby only looked at her.

"I didn't think so," she said going back to her computer.

"Why are you so convinced that she did?" He asked her.

"Look at the evidence, Bobby!"

"You don't think I did?"

"I don't know what to think any more." Alex said sarcastically.

"What is that suppose to mean?" This was the first real argument the two have had and Bobby did not like the feelings he was getting from it. She had disagreed before, but not like this and it upset him.

"Bobby, since your mother died, you've been, well, preoccupied," she said a little softer. The look he gave her told her she was treading on dangerous waters. "I just want you to be careful. You re being watched."

"Alex, stop worrying about e, I can take care of myself," Goren pushed his chair away from the desk to get up. In a manly huff, he went to get some coffee and wet into an empty room to think.

Alex watched him leave-sad that they had argued-sad that deep inside she knew Goren was probably right. The girl was innocent and it tore her up. She was better than thi. Holding back a tear, she went to find Goren.

*************************************************************************************

Eames found him in an interrogation room with his ehad in his hands. although she was quiet, Bobby always seems to know when she was around.

"Did you come here to argue some more?" He asked without looking at her.

"No," she said quietly, "I want to apologize, Bobby."

He looked up and only nodded he accepted. "I'm sorry too." He murmured.

"So, tell me what makes her innocent to you?" Alex pulled a chair and sat down.

He tilted his head, trying to understand his partner. "Well, she has bruises on her body."

"Officer Wttman could have fought back," Alex tried to come to some sort of understanding of Bobby's theory.

He sighed softly, "Alex, we both know he didn't fight his attacker and there is no way she would have won the fight, even if he did."

Eames had to agree. There was no way she couldn't. Bobby was right again. "So, what now?"

"We find the real k iller," he said looking into her eyes.

As they get up to go back to their desks, Goren says, "So, I'm being watched, eh?"

Alex smiled, "Big time, Bobby."

*************************************************************************************

A few moments later, the phone rang and Alex answered it, "That was booking. They just brought her in." she said putting the receiver down.

"Well let's go," said Bobby picking up his book.

fanfiction chapter 1 & 2

I have been having trouble with my PSP, so I won't have any new pics for you, but I have been trying my hand at fan fiction. I've started a stor that I hope you will like. Please be kind with your comments. I am not very good at this. I do like where my story is going. It is for your enjoyment, so enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the law & Order: criminal Intent characters, but I do thank you Dick Wolf and to all the writers from the show for giving us something to work with. and I also thank the actors, especially Vincent D'Onofrio for making your character believable...

Chapter 1:
February 29, 2008
She woke up suddenly. Not knowing why, she felt terrified. Her body felt like it had been beaten within an inch of her life. She was on the floor and tried to get up. Her hand touched something wet and sticky.
She tried to get her bearings as she stood up. Her knees shook so hard that her balance was shaky. Feeling her way, she soon found a light switch. Turning it on, the light looded the room and with it, came the horrors of the night.
There was blood everywhere. Although some was hers, most belonged to a dead corpse lying on the bed with a knife in his chest. She looked at her self and realized she was cover in both of their blood. Tears filled her eyes as she tried to remember meeting the guy, let alone killing hm.
Rap, rap, rap! A loud bang on the front door snapped her back to relity. She tried to move to open the door, but could only stare at it. Suddenly the door burst open and as she looked at two officers, her world began to spin just before it came crashing down.
chapter two:
St. Joseph Hospital
(not sure if there is a St. Joseph hospital in NYC, so forgive , if there isn't)
When she came to, se found herself handcuffed to a hospital bed. A woman with blue eyes was looking at her. "Bobby!" she called to someone who was standing inthe hallway, "She's awake."
When Bobby walked into the room, he filled the doorway with his frame. He looked at her quietly. which only caused her to fear him, as her amber eyes filled with tears.
"Hello there," he finally said to her, "I'm detective Goren and this is my partner, Eames. Do you remember what happened?"
She shook her head, as tears fell freely down her face. "I-I don't know."
Goren never stopped watching her as he pulled a chair over, so he could sit down, "Can you at least tell me your name?" He thought it would be better to ask her something she should know.
"A-Ariana," she answered a little shocked she even knew that. It seemed the last few hours had been erased from her memory. Looking at herhandcuffs, she mumbled, "why am I tied up?"
"You are not tied up," Eames answered, sounding quite upset. "You are handcuffed to the bed, because you are the prime suspect in a murder!" Eames then got her coat, "You finished this Bobby! I'm about to say something that I might regret!" Alex needed to get away and clear her head.
Goren only sat staring at Eames. When Alex had at last left th room, Bobby turned his attention back to Ariana. "You have t forgive Alex," Bobby said, giving some explanation of Alex's sudden outburst. "The murdered victim was one of our own and all the evidence we have so far lead to you, so you must understndf why she is so upset," Bobby started to write in his leather notebook.
Ariana listened to the detective, "But-but, I-I-I c-c-couldn't have done it," she stammered.
"Why not?" Bobby questioned her. "Tell me why I should believe you? Give me something to work with."
"Because that's not my nature," was all she could think of to say. She remembered her blood was mingled with the victim's and her memory was gone. What more evidence did they need to lock her away for a long time? "You just have to believe me," she pleaded.
Goren wanted to believe her. He sat ther watching her with those brown eyes of his. Showing her no expression, he put his leather notebook away and stared at her again.
SAY SOMETHIG, YOU IDIOT!! Ariana's brain yelled inside her head. She wanted him to stop staring at her.
"Can you tell me anything you remember, like who he was or how did you get into his apartment?"
Ariana shook her head no, "I can't reember anything."
"His name is George Wittman and he's an officer from the 407 princt," Bobby hoped by saying his name, it might triggered some memory.
It was Ariana's turn to stare. "I hope I can get my memory back,"
"Well, maybe it will come back to you soon," he answered her, writing in his book again.
Goren stood up to leave. "You're not going to leave me here, are you?" She asked jiggling the handcuff.
"I wouldn't worry. You won't be alone," he smiled at her. "An officer will be stationed in fornt of your door and as soon as the doctor releases you, we will meet again." Bobby gave her one last look as he walked into the hallway to look for his partner.
He stopped briefly to write what he observed. He wrote down all her bruises and where they were located. He hadcounted six of them and those were the ones he could see. How many more were hidden, he thought. There was no way this petite girl could have killed Officer Wittman, but he ws part of their family, and he had t find who the real killer was.
***That was chapter 1 & 2. I will have another soon....
Enjoy.....
